PRACTICAL TRAINING & REQUIREMENTS
LAPL (A)
Privileges of holding a LAPL(A): LAPL(A) entitles you to fly single engine aircraft thats MTOW (maximum take-off weight) does not exceed 2000kg in non-commercial operations. With such a licence you can fly according to VFR ( Visual Flight Rules).
Within the 30 hours of flight training a pilot is required to complete, 15 hours of dual flight instructions and 6 hours solo flight time. This must include 3 hours of solo cross country flight with a minimum distance of 150km. This must also include 1 full stop landing at an aerodrome different from the departure aerodrome.
Theoretical Training : The theoretical part of this license comes in 9 topics. These are Air Law, Human Performance & Limitations, Meteorology, R/T Communications, Principles of Flight, Operational Procedures, Flight Planning & Monitoring, General knowledge about aircraft, Navigation. One will need to achieve a minimum 75% on each topic to attain there LAPL(A).
